Shoring and foundation works in urban renewal project
The 7 Idelson St. Pinui/Binui Project covers a 400 sq.m. area and includes 6 storeys with 20 apartments, a commercial unit at ground level and a parking basement.
Base Pile Ltd. has carried out shoring operations in the complex using columns and parts of slurry elements that had arrived from the factory and underwent a welding process on the building site itself, in the course of inserting an iron cage into the pit. The Company also executed foundation works by means of piles as well as grout jack plugging.
Urban renewal projects present unique challenges in all matters concerning the handling of underground infrastructures in preparation for the building phase - dealing with construction in urban and densely populated areas close to educational institutions, railway alignments, or other operational structures and requiring complex traffic layouts, as well as unique ground conditions such as sinkholes and soft or sandy soil and the vicinity of groundwater. Base Pile’s extensive knowledge and experience together with heavy engineering equipment adapted for work in dense and active areas, also make it into a leading company in urban renewal projects such as the 7 Idelson St. complex.
