Infrastructure Works in the Heart of an Urban Complex

The Mazeh Tower complex, currently under construction in the heart of Tel Aviv by Acro Metropolis, will feature 35 residential floors with 268 housing units, spanning a total area of approximately 6 dunams. The tower will be built above a street-level commercial floor, five floors designated for a school, and three levels of underground parking.

Base Pile began the site’s infrastructure works with the removal of 250 tons of contaminated soil and tree clearing. The company then carried out drilling works, including approximately 6,000 m³ of slurry walls for shoring with a thickness of 60–80 cm, drilling 100 piles with a diameter of 50–60 cm, and installing 260 temporary ground anchors in two rows — 58 of which are polymer anchors capable of bearing loads of around 60 tons. In addition, Base Pile commenced excavation works at the site, removing about 77,000 m³ of soil to a depth of 13 meters, along with the installation of a steel structure to support the shoring walls.

During the infrastructure works, Base Pile faced several significant challenges, including the intrusion of existing infrastructure into the shoring alignment, which required relocation, as well as coordination with the Israel Antiquities Authority, which carried out archaeological excavations at three different points on the construction site.

The on-site work was carried out using the company’s fleet of advanced excavation cranes, operated by highly skilled professionals with strong engineering expertise. These specialists conduct a comprehensive assessment of ground conditions to ensure maximum quality, safety, and efficiency.
