Infrastructure Works in a Residential Complex with 8 Buildings

The new residential rental complex in South Tel HaShomer is currently being developed by Acro and spans three separate plots, each approximately 2 dunams in size. The complex will include eight 8-story residential buildings, offering a total of 209 housing units, above a commercial floor and two levels of underground parking.

Base Pile began the infrastructure works at the construction site with the relocation of existing trees on the plot, followed by excavation of the underground parking lot beneath the eight buildings. As part of the works, the company drilled 940 CFA piles up to a depth of 19 meters and with a diameter of 50–60 cm, excavated approximately 60,000 m³ of soil to a depth of 8 meters, and cast 590 linear meters of capping beams in various dimensions. In addition, Base Pile drilled 250 steel and polymer ground anchors and 75 polymer ground screws, as well as installed a steel structure to support the shoring works.

During the execution of the infrastructure works, Base Pile encountered several significant challenges, including limited site access due to roadblocks and diversions associated with development and paving works typical of a new neighborhood, as well as traffic difficulties within the site caused by sandy soil conditions. In addition, Base Pile simultaneously managed three parallel projects, which required synchronization, scheduling, and rapid problem-solving on site.

The on-site works were carried out using the company’s fleet of advanced excavation cranes, operated by highly skilled professionals with strong engineering expertise, who perform comprehensive ground condition assessments to ensure maximum quality, safety, and efficiency.
